Deliveries Entered a Dangerous Villa in La Matanza to Recover a Stolen Motorcycle

A group of young delivery workers, tired of being victims of theft of their work tools, decided to act and ventured in caravan to a dangerous neighborhood to recover the motorcycle that had been stolen from one of their colleagues minutes earlier.

The incident took place in the populous and dangerous Kirchnerist district of La Matanza, in the settlement known as "Santos Vega," located in the town of San Justo.

The delivery workers arrived at the location after being alerted through a WhatsApp group about the theft suffered by one of them while working.

"They stole my motorcycle at Ezaguirre and Perón. They went through Ombú, toward route 3," was the message sent by the victim at 9:49 PM. Within minutes, the delivery workers organized and headed to the settlement where the stolen vehicle had been taken.

"The motorcycle is inside. They're going to shoot you," is heard in the video recorded by a woman from a first floor, while more than a dozen motorcycles circulate through the narrow alley of the neighborhood.

The video, which quickly went viral on social media, shows one of the delivery workers inside the settlement, where they finally manage to recover the stolen vehicle.

As is common in areas governed by Kirchnerism, at no time is there any presence of security forces. Neither the Bonaerense police, primarily responsible for security in the province, was present.

The precedent

In March of last year, a group of delivery workers from the western area of Greater Buenos Aires managed to recover a motorcycle and detain one of the thieves who had stolen the vehicle days earlier. After subduing the violent criminal, they deservedly assaulted him and forced him to confess the location of the motorcycle, which was then recovered.

The sequence was recorded and shared by the delivery workers themselves, who recounted what happened between the districts of Ituzaingó and Hurlingham.

In the video, almost two minutes long, a dozen motorcycles are seen circulating through the streets of western Buenos Aires until they reach a park where they have the thief subdued.

"We want the motorcycle!" is the phrase repeated by several delivery workers who interrogate the criminal, who doesn't deny being the author of the theft, but refuses to reveal the location of the vehicle. Then the thief is heard apologizing, while the delivery workers continue demanding that he tell them where the motorcycle is.

After tying his hands behind his back and obtaining a confession, the delivery workers got the exact location of the vehicle: a house in the town of Hurlingham. From there, they set off in a caravan from Ituzaingó, with the thief in their company.

Upon arrival, they got out of the vehicle with the criminal and began demanding that the person inside the house open the door and hand over the motorcycle.

The person inside the house tried to evade the situation, while the criminal, surrounded by the delivery workers who hit him on the head with helmets, asked him to hand over the vehicle located at the back of the property. 

In the next part of the video, the delivery workers and the criminal are seen inside the garage, while in the background a young man holds the stolen vehicle. "Call the police so they can press charges for theft too," one of the delivery workers requests, to which another responds no, because that would involve a judicial process, the seizure of the motorcycle, and more days without their work tool.

The last part of the video shows how the delivery workers manage to recover the motorcycle and take the criminal out of the house, giving him more blows before leaving him on the ground and leaving the place in a caravan.
