The 'econochantas' from CEDES received thousands of dollars from Planned Parenthood
Previously, it was discovered that they also received more than one million dollars from Joe Biden's Democratic government.
Yesterday, the media outlet El Disenso revealed that the Center for the Study of State and Society (CEDES), which includes the "econochantas" critical of Javier Milei's government, received at least 1,383,767 dollars from the Democratic administration of Joe Biden in the United States.
However, in recent hours, information has emerged that reveals much greater financial support from foreign organizations.
According to the available information, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), an international organization that allocates billions of dollars to pro-abortion and far-left groups around the world, also funds CEDES.
Between 2008 and 2016, the Center for the Study of State and Society (CEDES) received from the IPPF the sum of 190,202 dollars, showing the close relationship between the "econochantas" critical of Javier Milei and foreign funding in dollars.

The controversy with CEDES
CEDES gained prominence after journalist Alejandro Fantino labeled its economists as "econochantas" for promoting a devaluation while earning salaries in dollars.
"These guys need the devaluation because they earn in dollars. When Milei talks about econochantas, he's talking about this," Fantino declared. These statements were quickly rejected on social media by several of the "econochantas" linked to the study center.
The funds received from the US were granted under the "grant" modality, a subsidy that the US government provides to organizations without requiring a direct exchange of goods or services. In other words, it's not a payment for work done, but funding for activities that Washington considers of public interest.

This demonstrates that CEDES, far from being concerned about the situation of the Argentine economy, is dedicated to promoting false narratives that undermine the country's macroeconomic stability while being funded from abroad.
Fantino's statements
During his program Multiverso Fantino on Neura, the host targeted Roberto Frenkel, José María Fanelli, Martín Rapetti, and Sebastián Katz. He accused them of being "econochantas" who seek a devaluation because their main income comes from selling reports in dollars abroad.
"These guys live off selling reports abroad. They earn in dollars, and with three reports a month, they rent a yacht in Rimini and have four odalisques dance," Fantino joked. He also argued that these economists need a more expensive dollar to maintain the purchasing power of their income.
Fantino went further and claimed that these economists play for the big Argentine business sector. "Did you see when Javier (Milei) talks about 'econochantas'? He's talking about these guys. This dollar price doesn't work for them, and they push for it to rise," he stated.
