La Derecha Diario Shakira's Heated Argument With Gerard Piqué That Would Have Caused Her Distress
International media claimed that the singer ended up hospitalized after being involved in a tough fight with her ex.
In recent days, Shakira went through a difficult moment that reportedly affected her health. According to Spanish journalist Jordi Martín, the Colombian singer had a heated argument with Gerard Piqué over a disagreement regarding the custody of their children, Milan and Sasha. The altercation reportedly caused a stress episode for the artist, which resulted in her recent hospitalization.
During the program Amor y Fuego, hosted by Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre, Martín revealed unpublished details about the conflict between the former couple. According to his testimony, Piqué traveled to Miami to fulfill his visitation time with his children, but during his stay, he informed Shakira that he had to leave due to work commitments related to the Kings League and FC Andorra.
This unexpected situation left the singer in a difficult position, as she was in the middle of a tour and couldn't take care of the children at that moment. "There was a very strong argument because Piqué told her: 'I have to go fulfill professional commitments and I can't stay in Miami with the kids. So you have to find a solution'," Martín recounted.
Surprised and upset, Shakira questioned Piqué for leaving her in that situation without prior notice. The former footballer's response was: "Well, take them with you for a few days, at least to Peru." In response, the Colombian reminded him that their children couldn't miss school, to which Piqué suggested hiring private tutors to join them.
Finally, the artist accepted the proposal, but with one condition: he had to cover the costs. "Okay, no problem. I'm going to hire some tutors, but you're going to pay for this because you're not fulfilling what was agreed," Shakira reportedly said.
The journalist claimed that this conflict emotionally impacted the singer. "I'm told that Shakira didn't take it well, that it was a very big upset for her," he added.
As a solution, private tutors were hired to join Milan and Sasha to Colombia before returning to Miami. This made the star feel very insecure, as she always tries to be present for her children and shield them from media exposure.
