Macri's Circle: the Ones Responsible for His Failure and the Return of Kirchnerism
The person responsible for the return of Kirchnerism made some statements that reflect what his own government was.
From Rosario, former president Mauricio Macri launched unusual criticisms against president Javier Milei, stating that, according to him, he is a "careless and poorly surrounded president." However, these statements seem more like a reflection of his own government than a description of the current administration.
Macri, who promised profound changes but failed in each of his promises, governed surrounded by figures who ended up facilitating the continuity of Kirchnerism.
During his term, he relied on figures like Marcos Peña, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Elisa Carrió, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, Gerardo Morales, Pablo Avelluto, Emilio Monzó, Nicolás Massot, Martín Lousteau, Maximiliano Ferraro, Graciela Ocaña, Carolina Stanley, Emiliano Yacobitti, and Alfonso Prat-Gay.

All of them, with a marked inclination toward consensus with Kirchnerism, were the main responsible for the weakness of his administration and the inability to undertake true structural reforms.
Far from fulfilling his promises to end inflation, reduce poverty, and generate economic growth, Macri left the country in a disastrous state that allowed the return of Kirchnerism in 2019. His timidity and lack of decision, something caused by the people around him, to confront the traditional political system only deepened Argentina's structural problems, plunging the economy into an even greater crisis.
Milei's team
In contrast, president Javier Milei demonstrated that true change is indeed possible. Unlike Macri, Milei surrounded himself with a team of excellence that is managing to carry out the most profound transformation in Argentine history.
A year into his administration, the president has already achieved what his predecessor couldn't even attempt: the destruction of inflation, the reduction of poverty, the elimination of the fiscal deficit, the fiscal surplus, and the largest public spending adjustment in history.

The results speak for themselves: inflation fell to the lowest levels in 5 years, poverty indicators show a clear downward trend, and Argentina, in the midst of a strong economic recovery, is beginning to regain its credibility in international markets. Milei's firmness, and his team, in their conviction to transform the country was key to achieving these advances, facing and overcoming the obstacles that Macri never could overcome.
While Macri only limited himself to managing the crisis without solving the underlying problems, Milei is implementing real and effective measures for Argentina to become a power again. The former president's criticisms only demonstrate his frustration at the success of the current government, which, unlike his failed administration, is fulfilling its promises and carrying out the necessary reforms for the country's reconstruction.
Macri's statements represent the past of unfulfilled promises and wasted opportunities, while Milei is the image of the future of a prosperous Argentina, with leadership, determination, and concrete results.
