Some areas of the state have been identified as critical areas due to the presence of extermination camps. Among these municipalities are:

  • Vallecillo
  • Juárez
  • Salinas Victoria
  • García
  • Sabinas Hidalgo

The problem is exacerbated by corruption and impunity, which hinder the administration of justice and the prevention of further disappearances.

Demands from civil society

Search collectives and civil organizations continue to demand more decisive actions from the government. Their main demand is the implementation of effective strategies to prevent new disappearances and locate those who have not yet been found.

To address this humanitarian crisis, collaboration between government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and citizens is essential.
