Alejandro Murat, former PRI governor of Oaxaca, joins Morena: Andy welcomes him
The former PRI member, now a Morena senator, detailed that he 'is going all out' in this new stage of the party.
The Morena party has been criticized for integrating recycled politicians from PRI, PAN, and MC. For years, the party attacked these figures as part of the "PRIANMC". Now, many see this as a contradiction, since Morena promised to be different but continues to add the same old characters.
One of the most recent cases is that of senator and former governor of Oaxaca, Alejandro Murat Hinojosa. Although he was already part of the Morena bench, he has now formalized his affiliation with the party.
On his X account, Murat shared a photo with Andrés Manuel López Beltrán. López Beltrán is the Secretary of Organization of Morena and the son of former president AMLO.

Morena seeks massive affiliation
According to Alejandro Murat, he and López Beltrán are committed to the affiliation process. Their goal is to continue "building the second floor of the Fourth Transformation".
A report by El Universal revealed that Morena has instructed its deputies to accelerate the affiliation process. The order comes from Andrés Manuel "Andy" López Beltrán, who coordinates this strategy within the party.
Besides Murat, other politicians have been integrated into Morena during this campaign. Among them are Ricardo Monreal and Sergio Gutiérrez Luna. Both are part of López Beltrán's close team.

From PRI to Morena without stops
In February 2024, Alejandro Murat announced that he had submitted the necessary documentation to be a plurinominal candidate for the Senate for Morena.
Since then, he has supported all the party's legislative initiatives. He has also worked actively within his bench in the Senate.
Currently, he is one of the senators with the most influence in the Morena bench. He holds the presidency of the Foreign Relations Commission. Additionally, he belongs to six more commissions, which provides him with additional income.

The goal: 10 million affiliates
Morena has boasted about the success of its affiliation and credentialing campaign. According to the party, in just 15 days they have registered almost one million new members.
"Our movement continues to grow with the strength of the people. Join and be part of history, because we build the 4T together," wrote Morena on social media.
Andrés Manuel López Beltrán himself has set a goal of affiliating 10 million people to Morena.
Reactions on social media
The arrival of Alejandro Murat to Morena has caused great controversy on social media. Many users have criticized the party's inconsistency. Previously, AMLO attacked these characters, but now his party integrates them without issue.
Some internet users have pointed out that the Morenistas "one day insult someone from PRIANMC and the next have to defend them". For many, these constant changes only show that "being a Morenista isn't easy".
