Ricardo Salinas Pliego defends Milei and denies defamation campaign

Buenos Aires, February 16. In recent hours, Argentina's President, Javier Milei, has been the target of criticism and accusations following the controversy over his post about the cryptocurrency $LIBRA.

The president recommended this cryptocurrency on his social media for those interested in investing. However, after the caused controversy, he clarified that it was a mistake by his community manager and publicly apologized.

Milei responds to the accusations

Despite his clarification, left-wing sectors took advantage of the situation to accuse him of fraud and criticize him on social media.

However, what they omit is that at no time did Milei force anyone to invest nor did he guarantee success with the cryptocurrency.

Personalities who supported Milei

Amid the media onslaught, various conservative figures came out in defense of the president. Among them, Mexican businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego, who expressed his support through X.

"I want to express my full support for Javier Milei in the face of the attack by the damn leftists from Mexico and Argentina, who criticize the president because his community manager made a mistake in good faith."

Criticism against the left

Salinas Pliego also highlighted that the left is desperate to find any mistake to attack Milei.

He pointed out that these sectors have no moral authority to judge, as they have plunged Argentina into crisis and poverty over the last two decades.

"The reconstruction of Argentina and any country affected by the socialists is a titanic task. They left the country with brutal hyperinflation and millions of Argentinians in misery."

Abascal also supports Milei

Another leader who spoke in defense of Milei was Santiago Abascal, president of the Spanish party Vox.

"Those who have supported and protected the corrupt CFK, who has ruined and robbed Argentinians, now seek to undermine the image of a titan like Milei, who has put Argentina back on the world map."
