The Government launches Jóvenes en Acción to empower Ecuadorian youth
With an investment of USD 96 million, they seek youth leadership in building a more advanced Ecuador.
President Daniel Noboa officially presented the "Youth in Action" program. It is a government initiative that seeks to provide new opportunities to thousands of young Ecuadorians who have not been able to access higher education.
With the aim of promoting the role of youth in the social, economic, and environmental development of Ecuador, the program will offer a financial transfer of USD 400 for three months. It will be for young people between 18 and 29 years old who meet a series of requirements.

The main purpose of the program is to support young people in their personal and professional development, in order to mitigate the economic, environmental, and energy crises facing the country. Beneficiaries will be able to allocate this support to projects and initiatives that contribute to the well-being of society.
"Youth in Action" is aimed at young people not affiliated with the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute, without a tertiary level degree, and who don't receive transfers from the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion.

The initiative, which has a state investment of approximately USD 96 million, will impact more than 175,000 young Ecuadorians. This includes returned Ecuadorians who meet the established requirements.
The call is managed by the National Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (Senescyt) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility. Registration was open until November 15.
The program seeks to strengthen the capacity of youth to take an active role in the country's transformation. This reflects their talent and leadership as key elements for Ecuador's progress.

Additionally, the measure will be complemented with reforestation activities, cleaning of water bodies, environmental education programs, and support for the agricultural and irrigation sector. This will imply a commitment to environmental care and territorial development.
With this program, President Daniel Noboa's government demonstrates its commitment to investing in new generations. At the same time, it recognizes their potential as agents of change in building a better Ecuador.
