The diva confessed that she was very scared when she saw her daughter fall at her home in Miami. 'I thought she had killed herself,' she said.
This Monday, Susana Giménez returned to Argentina joined by her daughter, Mercedes Sarrabayrouse, after having stayed in Miami due to an emergency surgical procedure. The host was approached by the press at the airport and shared details of the domestic accident that led to Mecha's surgery, who traveled in a wheelchair and avoided making statements.
"Mercedes had a fall in the garage. She didn't see a step and ended up on the ground violently", she recounted. The impact caused her a displaced hip fracture, which made urgent surgery necessary.
Although the traumatologist Alejandro Druetto, the family's trusted doctor, was in Miami, he couldn't intervene, as he doesn't have a license to practice in the United States. Finally, a team of local specialists successfully performed the surgery. "Thank God, everything went well. Tomorrow rehabilitation begins", confirmed the diva.
Susana and her daughter's return wasn't without difficulties. The host detailed the challenge of assisting Mecha in these conditions: "I'm exhausted, from carrying two handbags, the wheelchair, the walker", she expressed. It's worth noting that Susana just celebrated her 81st birthday, so although she is in good health at her advanced age, these movements bring a lot of complexities.
Mercedes will continue her recovery in Buenos Aires under medical supervision. With a hip prosthesis and a rehabilitation process ahead, she will have to follow strict care for her recovery. "It's horrible, the truth is that something happens to you abroad", Susana acknowledged, about how much they both suffered this incident abroad.
Usually, Susana plans her work and personal year in advance. However, the family situation has changed her plans, and for now, she seems focused only on being able to see her daughter walk again.

Also joining them in this process is her granddaughter and Mecha's daughter, Lucía Celasco. The young model was also in the United States when the unfortunate domestic accident occurred and was very scared by the situation.
