Milei's Government Fired More Than 2800 Kirchnerist 'ñoquis' From Human Capital
These gnocchi entered thanks to the social leader of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico, during the previous government.
The Government of Javier Milei carried out the dismissal of at least 2800 Kirchnerist "ñoquis" linked to the Ministry of Human Capital, led by Sandra Pettovello, this week.
According to information revealed by the media outlet LA NACION, this measure is part of the "chainsaw plan" promoted by the Minister of Deregulation, Federico Sturzenegger, with the aim of reducing the number of public jobs.
Meanwhile, the union of state workers denounced what it described as alleged "institutional violence, harassment, and systematic mistreatment" by Pettovello, one of the closest officials to President Milei.
"In the last few hours, the Government deepened its attack against state workers with a new wave of mass layoffs. Hundreds of colleagues from the Secretariat of Territorial Development, Habitat and Housing, the National Directorate of Architecture, and other areas received notification of the termination of their contracts, leaving 400 families on the street without any opportunity," states the communiqué from the State Workers' Association (ATE) in its Buenos Aires section, led by Daniel Catalano.

The union defending the "ñoquis" also indicated that more than 2000 state workers from the Undersecretariat of Family Policies (Senaf), which belonged to the former Ministry of Social Development, were dismissed or made available.
Additionally, the Kirchnerist union warned that the expulsion of the "ñoquis" supposedly affects "labor rights" and harms the most vulnerable sectors of the country.
"We also denounce the institutional violence, harassment, and systematic mistreatment by Pettovello's management, which precarizes, dismisses, and plays with the physical and mental health of workers in its eagerness to destroy the State. Meanwhile, at the Matanza Riachuelo Basin Authority (Acumar), the authority in charge of pollution in the Matanza Riachuelo basin, 300 dismissals have already been counted in this new batch," added ATE Capital.
The communiqué concludes by reaffirming the union's commitment to the reinstatement of the dismissed "ñoquis" and the defense of "labor rights."

The dismissed "ñoquis"
These dismissals are part of the "chainsaw plan" announced by President Javier Milei together with the Minister of Deregulation, Federico Sturzenegger.
According to sources close to Milei's Government, Sturzenegger conducted a thorough analysis of the jobs in the affected areas and detected the existence of "duplicated tasks," which would have motivated the mass dismissals.
Additionally, various sources indicated that many of these sectors were under the control of the social leader of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico, during the Kirchnerist administration of Alberto Fernández.
