'bloodbath and Kicillof's Incompetence': Milei Called for Intervention in the Province

Amid a climate of violence in the Buenos Aires suburbs, Javier Milei demanded that Axel Kicillof allow the province to be intervened to stop the security crisis.

Through his X account, the President described the situation as a "bloodbath" and directly blamed the governor. "Governor, you believe that criminals are the victims, while we believe that criminals are the bad guys and that those who do wrong, pay for it," he wrote.

"If you're interested in the well-being of the people of Buenos Aires, resign"

Milei also questioned Kicillof's ideological stance, pointing out that his "pro-criminal" doctrine is based on the thinking of former judge Eugenio Zaffaroni. "It is the antithesis of the zero tolerance we apply in the Nation," he remarked.

In his message, the libertarian leader reiterated that the Buenos Aires government is incapable of handling the security crisis. "If you couldn't manage a bar, much less a province. If you're interested in the well-being of the people of Buenos Aires, step aside and let us intervene in the province," he stated.

Wave of violence in the suburbs

Milei's words come in a context of extreme violence in the Buenos Aires suburbs. In recent days, shocking crimes have shaken society.

The murder of Kim Gómez in La Plata

One of the most shocking cases occurred on Tuesday. Two underage criminals killed a 7-year-old girl after stealing her mother's car in La Plata. The incident sparked protests and tension in the municipality.

That same day, two motorcycle thieves murdered a 21-year-old young man in Tortuguitas in a robbery attempt while he was with his partner and baby. The next day, a woman was shot in the head when they tried to steal her truck in Vicente López.

For now, Kicillof's administration hasn't provided strong responses to the security crisis. Without clear measures, the province remains mired in a wave of violence that worries the people of Buenos Aires.
