Meteorologist Matías Bertolotti anticipated what the weather in the AMBA will be like during the long weekend. Rain, storms, and high temperatures are expected. 

The heat and humidity will mark the coming days, with highs around 30°C (86°F).

Friday: storms and intense heat

This Friday, the advance of a warm and unstable air mass generates rain and storms. The precipitation will continue throughout the day with intermittent showers and isolated storms. The high will reach between 29°C and 30°C (84°F and 86°F).

By Friday night and early Saturday morning, the storms will intensify. Bertolotti warned that they could be locally strong, so he recommends caution if you have to go out.

Saturday: partial improvement, but rain returns

Saturday starts with storms, but then the weather improves. During the day, there will be sun and heat, with a high between 29°C and 30°C (84°F and 86°F). However, by night the rain will return.

"A good part of Saturday can be enjoyed, but at the beginning and end of the day there are chances of rain," Bertolotti explained.

Sunday and Monday: more persistent rain

Sunday will be an unstable day with rain for most of the day. The low will be 23°C (73°F) and the high 26°C (79°F).

Monday will continue to be unstable, although with improvements toward the afternoon. A minimum temperature of 23°C (73°F) and a maximum of 27°C (81°F) are expected.

Tuesday: weather improves and heat returns

Tuesday, the last day of the XXL weekend, will start with rain in the morning, but the weather will improve during the day. The high will reach 31°C (88°F), with clear skies in the afternoon.

Bertolotti highlighted that the warm and humid air mass continues to prevail, keeping temperatures high. "If it didn't rain, the heat and humidity would be constant," he warned.
