'my Son Is a Piece of Shit,' Said the Father of One of Kim Gómez's Murderers.
The father who turned in his son commented: 'He's a piece of shit, he needs to rot in jail.'
Héctor, father of the 17-year-old detained for the murder of Kim Gómez, was blunt when speaking about his son. "He's a piece of shit", he stated. He also asserted that "he has to rot in jail".
The murderer's father recounted how he found out about the crime: "I had gone to Buenos Aires to buy tires. When I was coming back, my daughter told me: 'Daddy, Tobías stole a car and killed a girl'. I told her to hold him and we'd turn him in," he recounted.

"I didn't want to take him, but they forced me"
According to Héctor, his son had already been detained in the past, but the police forced him to take responsibility for him. "I didn't want to take him, I told them to send him somewhere else. But they replied that, since he was a minor, I had to take him", he stated.
The young man continued with his criminal behavior and the father decided to expel him from his house. "I kicked him out. Lately, we didn't even know where he was staying", he maintained.
The moment he turned him in
When he found out about the crime, Héctor didn't hesitate. "I told my daughter: ‘We're going to turn him in’. We turned him over to the police", he detailed.

Afterwards, he also turned in another young man who was allegedly involved. "I went with the police to find him. I entered the house and told them: ‘He was with Tobías, take him too’".
"He's lost in drugs"
Héctor pointed out that his son's problem started years ago. "Two or three years ago he started using. We got tired of talking about it", he lamented.
Even when he worked with him, the situation was unsustainable. "He would steal from me. He would break into the house and take things", he said.
