Karina Milei Participated in the Pdac in Canada to Boost Investment Arrivals

The Secretary General inaugurated 'Argentina Day' within the framework of the most important mining meeting worldwide.

Until March 5, the most globally relevant mining meeting is taking place in Toronto, Canada. The PDAC (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada) brings together the entire international mining sector.

This Monday, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, inaugurated the space dedicated to Argentina. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) as an essential tool to offer "legal security and clear rules" that drive the arrival of new investments to the country.

During her intervention at the Metro Toronto Convention Center (MTCC), Milei inaugurated the "Argentina Day", an event designed to present more than 300 mining projects in which Argentina seeks to attract capital.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Investment Agency, the Secretariat of Mining, as well as authorities from various provinces and companies in the mining sector.

The Argentine delegation, led by the president's sister, is composed of more than 100 people, and includes representation from Santa Cruz.

"We are experiencing a turning point in Argentina; now we can observe a stable, growing economy, and have the RIGI law, which is what brings us here today," Milei expressed to an audience full of national and international businessmen.

The official emphasized that, thanks to the RIGI, promoted by the Government of Javier Milei, Argentina can offer "legal security" and "clear rules" for investments, a situation that, as she explained, hadn't been present in many years in the country.

She also thanked the Argentine delegation for their promotional work: "I am very grateful to be here, representing my country. Thank you for trusting in Argentina, which is in the process of change. We are building a bigger Argentina," she concluded.

Projects in Argentina

A report from the National Secretariat of Mining indicates that Argentina has 311 mining projects in various stages of development: 24 in production, 8 in construction, 10 in feasibility, 8 in pre-feasibility, 11 in economic evaluation, 68 in advanced exploration, 128 in initial exploration, and 55 in prospecting. These projects are generating growing interest among investors.

At the "Argentina Day", government and private sector representatives gathered to present the country's mining initiatives and investment potential, with a particular emphasis on resources such as copper and lithium.

The event's opening was led by the Argentine ambassador to Canada, Josefina Martínez Gramuglia, and the new Canadian ambassador in Buenos Aires, Steward Wheeler.
