Journalist Gonzalo Aziz Spread a False News Story and Milei Made Him Look Ridiculous
The TN journalist had assured that the Argentine president wasn't going to get a photo with Donald Trump.
Once again, activist journalism in Argentina was exposed thanks to Gonzalo Aziz, a TN journalist operator, who, without the slightest professional rigor, claimed that Javier Milei would not have a meeting with Donald Trump and that the Argentine president was only looking to "steal" a photo with the U.S. president.
Aziz, with the confidence of those who believe the public will swallow anything, stated that "the formal photo wasn't obtained, that's already defined, there's no bilateral meeting or official photo."
As has happened many other times, this was a poor attempt to establish a false narrative with the sole aim of discrediting Milei and his growing international prestige. However, reality, as so often, took care of disproving it.

Not only was there a bilateral meeting between Trump and Milei, but the meeting was officially confirmed by the White House itself, which detailed that both leaders talked about the economic reforms implemented by the Argentine government and about the bilateral relationship between both countries.
Moreover, Trump not only praised President Milei but also formally invited him to the White House in the coming months.
"President Trump met with Argentine President Javier Milei at CPAC, where they discussed President Javier Milei's innovative economic reforms and how our countries can work more closely together," the White House reported in an official statement published on X. It also added: "President Trump also invited President Milei to visit the White House in the coming months."

This episode exposes, once again, the way certain media outlets seek to establish fake news without the slightest attempt at verification, reflecting the level of misinformation with which many journalists operate in Argentina.
In the face of this serious episode, President Milei did not remain silent and expressed his anger on social media: "Gonzalo Aziz here not only passing bad information but also getting too clever...," the president commented on his official X account.
"Then they get angry when one calls them envelope operators. Is it a coincidence that this happened on the channel of the Group that wants to buy Telefónica and thus have the monopoly of the TELCOS? CIAO!," he concluded.
The truth is that this episode highlights the desperation of certain sectors to try to attack Milei's Government at any cost, even if it means betraying the basic principles of journalism. But the truth always comes to light, and this time it was clear who reports with facts and who only fabricates narratives.
