President Javier Milei Held a Meeting With Donald Trump at Cpac

After their speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the United States, President Donald Trump and Argentine leader Javier Milei held a meeting.

During the meeting, they discussed President Milei's successful economic reforms and the strengthening of the bilateral relationship between Argentina and the United States. Additionally, the Republican leader invited the Argentine president to visit the White House in the coming months.

"President Trump met with Argentine President Javier Milei at CPAC, where they discussed President Javier Milei's innovative economic reforms and how our countries can work more closely together," the White House reported in a statement on X.

It also added: "President Trump also invited President Milei to visit the White House in the coming months".

Trump's praise for Milei

During his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the United States, President Donald Trump gave a strong endorsement to Argentine leader Javier Milei, highlighting his work in the economic recovery of Argentina and his alignment with the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.

"Here is a friend of Argentina, you did a great job," Trump expressed, publicly acknowledging Milei among the attendees.

In an enthusiastic tone, he continued with praise for the libertarian leader's management: "He's a MAGA guy, he's making Argentina great again. Argentina is beautiful, but what inflation it had! We're proud of you, it's an honor to have you here".

Trump's support for Milei is no coincidence. Since his arrival at the Casa Rosada, the Argentine president has promoted an economic model based on the reduction of public spending, market deregulation, and the elimination of the fiscal deficit, principles that align with the policies promoted by Trump during his second term in the United States.

Trump's mention of the inflation Argentina faced reflects one of the greatest challenges Milei had to confront since his inauguration in December 2023.
