Chino Maidana Spoke After Surviving His Motorcycle Accident: 'i Flew 150 Meters...'

Marcos "Chino" Maidana shared details of the shocking motorcycle accident he suffered ten days ago in Santa Fe. He flew 150 meters (492 feet) after colliding with a car and, against all odds, had no fractures.

"The motorcycle saved my leg because I hit sideways. I hit it with the engine, which has an anti-shock bar, and that's why I didn't hit the car. Otherwise, I would have broken everything," explained the former boxer.

The moment of impact

Maidana recounted that, although he doesn't remember everything clearly, he was going at high speed when he saw a stopped car. "When I tried to avoid it, it made a U-turn, and I hit it sideways. It threw me off, and I ended up flying 150 meters (492 feet)," he said.

The car's driver thought the worst: "He saw me fly and thought I was dead," added the Santa Fe native.

Medical report and progress

• Current condition: stable and recovering.
