Why was this tomato sauce banned?

The investigation began following a notification from the Nutrition and Food Hygiene Directorate of Mendoza. It was reported through Federal Incident No. 4455 in the Food Surveillance Information System (SIVA). During a control in a store in Lavalle, Mendoza, authorities detected that these products did not comply with current regulations.

The ANMAT report indicates that the "La Convicción" tomato sauce lacks the mandatory sanitary registrations. Both the National Food Product Registry (RNPA) and the National Establishment Registry (RNE), making it an illegal product.

ANMAT also banned a brand of honey

In addition to the tomato sauce, ANMAT banned the "La Reina" bee honey, after detecting that its sanitary registrations were false. This means that the product doesn't have official authorization for marketing.
