An Important Agreement Was Signed Between the Government of Nuevo León and Bbva
The signed agreement aims to boost the digitalization of SMEs and facilitate financing
On February 25, the agreement signed by the State Governor, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, and the Vice President and General Director of BBVA México, Eduardo Osuna Osuna, was announced.
Background
In December 2024, BBVA México and the Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (CAINTRA) signed a strategic agreement to promote the development and consolidation of more than 4,500 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) affiliated with the chamber.
This alliance aims to provide tailored financial products and solutions, fostering economic growth in the northeastern region of the country.

Objectives of the alliance
The main objective of this agreement is to facilitate SMEs' access to financing schemes tailored to their specific needs.
BBVA México will offer different credit options so that these companies can grow and consolidate their projects.
Additionally, advice will be provided on contracting digital accounts, implementing point-of-sale terminals (POS), payroll enrollment, and acquiring insurance.
A highlighted aspect is the support in the transition to sustainable business models, promoting environmentally responsible practices.
Impact on the regional economy
This collaboration has the potential to strengthen various economic sectors in Nuevo León, especially in areas such as manufacturing and industrial services.
By providing financial tools and specialized advice, it is expected that SMEs will improve their competitiveness, generate more jobs, and contribute to economic development both regionally and nationally.
Statements from those involved
Jaime Ortega Madrid, Director of Business and Government Banking Northeast Division of BBVA México, highlighted the relevance of this alliance by stating that it reinforces the bank's commitment to the economic development of Nuevo León and the northeastern region of the country.
Meanwhile, representatives of CAINTRA noted that this agreement will allow affiliated companies to access innovative financial solutions, adapted to the current market needs.
Additional benefits for SMEs
In addition to the mentioned financing and advice, participating companies will be able to access training and development programs in key areas such as digitalization, financial management, and sustainability.

These initiatives aim to equip SMEs with the necessary tools to face current market challenges and seize growth opportunities.
Context of previous collaboration
This agreement adds to a series of collaborations between BBVA México and the Government of Nuevo León.
In January 2024, amending agreements to the simple credit opening contract were celebrated for amounts of up to 750 and 1,000 million pesos, intended for infrastructure and development projects in the state.
These actions reflect a solid relationship and a shared commitment to driving the economic and social progress of the region.
