Tomás Dente Harshly Criticized Carmen Barbieri for Adding Morena Rial as a Panelist

The journalist expressed his dissatisfaction with 'Mañanísima''s decision to include Jorge Rial's daughter in their team.

Morena Rial  participated as a guest on "Mañanísima" (El Trece), shortly after regaining her freedom on February 13, after being involved in a robbery. Later, its host Carmen Barbieri,  announced the inclusion of Jorge Rial's daughter in the program's panel. The news caused a strong stir and numerous criticisms, among which Tomás Dente  stood out in  "El Impertinente" (Net TV).

Tomás Dente's reaction

From his space, the journalist questioned both the channel and Barbieri for giving visibility to Morena in this role.  "It's not about inviting her to ask questions, but about the way they present her, putting her in the victim's place. It's not fair to the people who were affected by the robberies she was involved in", he expressed. He also considered that the channel and the production disrespected the audience, who "are the same ones who suffer from criminal acts."

Dente also criticized the current state of television and how the hiring of media figures is prioritized over qualified professionals. "Then they call the producers and ask them for work, but they look for flashy names. They hire 'Big Brother' participants, Morena Rial, and unprepared people, while those who studied and work honestly are discarded",  he lamented.

Morena Rial's arrival at "Mañanísima"

Morena's participation in the program was marked by controversies. During the broadcast, she commented on the relationship between Wanda Nara and L-Gante, claiming that "everything was staged" and that "China Suárez tries to imitate Wanda, but she will never succeed."

Dente criticized the way her incorporation into the program was handled, questioning the warm reception she was given.  "It's not just about sitting her down and asking her questions, that's an interview. But receiving her with hugs, showing her on camera when she arrives in the cab, giving her a place as a panelist... that goes against journalistic work",  he stated.

To conclude, the journalist replied to those who called him "resentful": "I have values. I prepared myself, studied, work with effort and without favors. That's what counts", he concluded.
