Shakira Managed to Blend in With the Crowd and Enjoyed the Barranquilla Carnival

The Colombian star returned to her hometown and took her children Sasha and Milan to the streets in cute costumes.

Shakira returned to her roots and fully immersed herself in the magic of the Carnaval de Barranquilla, but this time she did it in an unexpected way. The Colombian singer managed to blend in with the crowd during the traditional Guacherna night, enjoying the parade without being recognized and joined by her children, Milan and Sasha.

Away from the stages and cameras, the artist experienced the carnival from within, becoming part of the collective costume Palo e' Muerte. Covered by elaborate makeup that included skulls painted on her face and traditional attire, Shakira and her children went unnoticed among the attendees. The goal was clear: for her little ones to know and experience firsthand one of Colombia's most important celebrations without the noise that fame generates.

The singer herself confirmed her participation through her social media, where she shared some moments from the event. "Proud to teach my children my culture and the joy of my people. Long live the Guacherna and the Carnaval de Barranquilla!", she wrote excitedly alongside images and videos of the costumes she and her children wore.

Although she didn't complete the entire parade route, Shakira intensely enjoyed the experience. In some sections, she even received foam sprayed by the public, a carnival classic, while remaining protected by the anonymity of her costume.

The choice of the collective Palo e' Muerte was not accidental; their elaborate masks and makeup allowed the artist and her children to go unnoticed among the crowd, avoiding any kind of altercation or commotion among fans. Something the singer herself confessed she hadn't experienced in many years.

However, the news of her participation quickly went viral. Once the singer shared her experience on social media, thousands of fans were surprised to discover that Shakira had been among them during the celebration without anyone noticing.

The images and videos began to circulate rapidly, generating admiration for her effort to keep the experience authentic and close. "How nice that she can enjoy"; "I would have loved to meet you" and "It's beautiful everything she does for her children", were some of the comments that flooded Instagram.
