The growth of the motorcycle market in Argentina
The motorcycle market closed 2024 with a growth of 3.1%. 485,221 units were sold, surpassing the 414,041 sales of cars and light utility vehicles.
Between 2023 and 2024, the growth was 14.5% year-on-year, with 470,691 units sold compared to the 449,448 in the automotive sector.
In January 2025, the best start of the year in motorcycle sales since 2018 was recorded, with 58,748 units sold. Of those, 29,842 were 110cc CUB motorcycles, reaffirming their leadership in the segment.
Why 110cc motorcycles are the best-selling
The growth of low-displacement motorcycles is due to several factors:
- Lower acquisition cost compared to cars.
- Reduced expenses in maintenance, registration, and insurance.
