Maluma reveals the episode of anxiety that transformed his life: 'Nothing could heal me'

The singer is in a moment of transformation, and moving from his mansion and connecting with Buddhism is part of the process.

In the midst of his success, Juan Luis Londoño Arias, better known as Maluma, experienced a difficult internal struggle. Despite fame and recognition, the Colombian singer faced moments of anxiety that made him rethink his life.

In an act of sincerity, he shared his experience with his followers, revealing how he decided to slow down his fast-paced life to seek solutions and restore his inner peace.

Maluma's personal challenge

Through his Instagram stories, Maluma spoke openly about the suffering caused by anxiety, something he had never experienced so intensely. "Many things happened that made me open my eyes," he shared. Despite his success, he confessed that even he, like anyone else, had insecurities and moments of doubt. For years, the singer had managed anxiety superficially, using escapes like alcohol and other substances. However, upon reaching a critical point, he realized he had to face the root of his problem.

The fear of confronting his anxiety had kept him trapped in a fast and social life, without time for introspection. "When I decided to stop, I realized what was really happening inside me," he confessed. It was at that moment that he began to understand the importance of pausing his hectic life and prioritizing his emotional well-being.

The path to healing

By deciding to look inward, Maluma embarked on a deep self-discovery process. He recognized that to heal, he needed to do significant internal work. During this process, he reached out to people who had gone through similar experiences and learned new tools to manage his anxiety, such as meditation and Buddhism. "All of this has helped me a lot," he expressed, referring to the alternatives he found to balance his mind and body.

Additionally, Maluma turned to his close circle: friends, family, and health professionals. Thanks to these supports, he made important lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, reducing alcohol consumption, and moving to a more open environment. This shift toward holistic health helped him reconnect with himself, allowing him to heal gradually.
