President Javier Milei replied on social media to María Becerra after the singer criticized the alleged lack of action by the Government in reply to the fires in El Bolsón. During her performance at the Fiesta de la Confluencia in Neuquén, the artist expressed her concern about the situation and asked for donations.
Milei didn't miss the opportunity and used his X account to respond. "It seems that María BCRA didn't notice the enormous deployment being made by the national government in the fight against the fire. She must be like Ladri Depósito, who speaks according to who fills her pocket," wrote Milei.
The background of the presidential reply
The nickname "María BCRA" used by the president refers to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and is a jab at the money the singer received for her show. It is also linked to her request for donations, which caused criticism on social media.
The comparison with "Lali Depósito", as Milei often refers to Lali Espósito, points to the same concept: the accusation that some artists speak about politics according to their own economic interests.
