Milei's government suspended a left-wing political event in a public building

A delirious activist employee of CONICET wanted to present the book: 'Lanzallamas, Milei y el fascismo psicotizante'.

The presentation of Rocco Carbone's book, an extreme left-wing activist employee of CONICET, which was scheduled for this afternoon at the Faro de la Memoria, was suspended by decision of Javier Milei's Government because they didn't consult with the relevant agencies.

"We regret to inform that by decision of the National Human Rights Secretariat today, we are forced to suspend the presentation of Rocco Carbone's book, which was going to take place this afternoon," the group expressed on Instagram.

As happened with the Kirchnerist singer "Milo J," the Colectivo Faro de la Memoria and various human rights organizations condemned what they claimed was an act of supposed "authoritarianism, censorship, and prohibition of previously scheduled cultural and artistic activities at the Space for Memory and the Promotion of Human Rights - Faro de la Memoria (Mar del Plata), following the latest and sudden statement from the National Human Rights Secretariat."

The reason for the suspension

On social media, the Minister of Justice, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, revealed that it was about a activist employee of CONICET who was going to carry out a political act in a public building of the National Government under the pretext of presenting the book "Lanzallamas, Milei y el fascismo psicotizante," without consulting the relevant agencies.

For this reason, "in line with the President's decision to depoliticize public buildings," the minister announced that he filed "a precautionary measure to suspend it."

"This person, also the author of other texts like 'De Hitler a Milei,' has complete freedom to continue spreading his ideas, but not with the State's money," the official concluded firmly.

Unable to carry out his political act, various left-wing groups called for a demonstration in rejection of the supposed "censorship and authoritarianism." The protest will take place tomorrow, Saturday, February 15, at 5:00 PM outside the Space.

The suspension of this political event adds to other similar decisions made within the framework of Javier Milei's Government policy regarding the depoliticization of public buildings.

Similarly, the Kirchnerist singer "Milo J" attempted to carry out another political act at the former ESMA, which was going to be funded with the money of all Argentines, but he couldn't carry out his plan. "I suppose gathering 20,000 people in a memory space doesn't please the Government," he expressed on Instagram, in an attempt to victimize himself.
