The Government Declared National Mourning for the Murders of Ariel and Kfir Bibas
The measure was taken after Israel confirmed the death of the Argentine children kidnapped by Hamas.
The Argentine Government declared two days of mourning in memory of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, the children of the Israeli-Argentine family who were murdered by Hamas while in captivity. Ariel was 4 years old and Kfir only 10 months.
"The Office of the President expresses its strongest condemnation of the Hamas terrorist group following the confirmation of the murder of the Bibas family children. According to the assessment of Israel's National Center of Forensic Medicine, the minors were brutally murdered in November 2023. It is monstrous that these events occur in this century, and that their death responds to a single motivation: being Jewish."

The request of the Argentine Government
From the Casa Rosada, in addition to decreeing the national mourning, they expressed their condolences to the family, especially to Yarden Bibas, the father of the children. Yarden was held captive for 484 days and, after being released, now faces the worst tragedy.
Meanwhile, the official statement demanded the immediate release of all hostages still in Hamas's hands and assured that the terrorist group will be "reduced to ashes."
The body delivered by Hamas is not Shiri Bibas's
In the last few hours, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they identified the remains of Ariel and Kfir Bibas. However, they also reported that the third body delivered by Hamas is not that of their mother, Shiri Bibas.

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, described this situation as a "cruel and malicious violation" of the ceasefire agreement. He also warned that Hamas will pay the price for it.
Netanyahu: "We will work to bring Shiri back"
The Israeli leader assured that they will continue with all efforts to recover the remains of Shiri Bibas and the other hostages.

"The sacred memory of Oded Lifshitz, of Ariel and Kfir Bibas will always be in the heart of our nation. May God avenge their blood. We will do so," concluded Netanyahu.
