The meteorologist predicted that the fall temperatures will not last long in Buenos Aires and its surroundings.
This Tuesday, February 18, started with cooler than usual weather in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). According to the extended forecast by Matías Bertolotti, the day will have a maximum temperature of 24°C and partly cloudy skies, with an autumnal thermal sensation.
However, the relief will be short-lived. Starting Wednesday, northern winds will begin to raise the temperature and mark the return of intense heat.
What's the weather like in the coming days?
On Wednesday, February 19, the weather will change significantly. Bertolotti anticipated that there will be clear skies, dry conditions, and a low of 17°C, while the high will reach 29°C.
For Thursday, an increase in temperatures is expected, with a low of 21°C and a high of 31°C, joined by clear skies and northern winds.
The weekend will be overwhelming: heat and high humidity
Friday will continue the hot trend, but the big change will be felt on Saturday. The low will be 25°C, surpassing this Tuesday's high, and the temperature will climb to 34°C. Additionally, humidity will increase, creating a stifling environment in the city.

Bertolotti recommended taking advantage of the cool days to ventilate homes before the extreme heat returns.

For now, no significant rain is expected in the coming days. Cloudiness will be variable, but high temperatures and humidity will define the weather outlook toward the weekend.
This way, the AMBA will transition from an autumnal Tuesday to a weekend with elevated thermal sensation and stifling conditions.
