Axel Kicillof Promotes a Project to Favor Underage Criminals

This shows that the governor is more concerned about the welfare of criminals than about protecting the people.

The recent project, driven by Kirchnerist deputy Lucía Iañez and supported by Governor Axel Kicillof, in the province of Buenos Aires, which proposes the regularization of the execution of sentences for young offenders, is a clear example of a policy that prioritizes the rights of criminals over the safety and well-being of society.

This initiative, which theoretically seeks to "facilitate the rehabilitation of young offenders," ends up being an incentive for impunity and a dangerous precedent for the Argentine judicial system.

The proposal by the deputy of Kicillof establishes that those young people convicted of crimes committed before reaching adulthood serve "socio-educational" sentences, without considering the severity of the crimes they have committed.

Furthermore, the initiative states that those whose sentences are less than 5 years and who have served at least one-third of the sentence by the age of 21 will not be transferred to adult prisons, which doesn't guarantee true justice and greatly benefits the criminals.

This project, supported by Governor Axel Kicillof, reflects an ideology that seems more concerned with ensuring the well-being of thieves and murderers than with protecting society from future crimes.

Moreover, the ideology of "reeducation" and "rehabilitation" of young offenders, while important, can't come at the expense of justice and public safety. Minors must understand that their actions have consequences, and the State must be firm in the application of the law, without concessions that favor those who harm society.

The progress of this project in the Chamber of Deputies is concerning, and now the Senate must decide its future. If approved, it could create an even greater insecurity situation for the people of Buenos Aires, who would see how the judicial system, instead of protecting them, favors the criminals.

Despite Axel Kicillof's false discourse, who claims not to defend criminals, reality shows otherwise, and it can be clearly seen how he is promoting initiatives that make life easier for those who commit crimes.

This project is not only bad news for the people of Buenos Aires, but it also sets a precedent that could be used by other politicians with similar ideologies to undermine the rule of law in favor of criminals.
