Morena Pushed the 'national Sovereignty' Reform to Defend the Drug Traffickers.

On February 26th, the Senate approved the reform on national sovereignty in both particular and general terms.

The reform on national sovereignty was approved in general with 107 votes in favor and 14 against. In particular, the ruling was approved with 100 votes in favor and 17 against. Subsequently, the reform was sent to the Chamber of Deputies for analysis, discussion, and, if applicable, approval.

The ruling proposes incorporating the crime of "terrorism" into constitutional article 19. This modification refers to mandatory pre-trial detention.

Specifically, it would apply to any national or foreigner involved in the manufacture, distribution, sale, transfer, or illegal entry of weapons into the national territory.

Meanwhile, in constitutional article 40, it is stipulated that the people of Mexico "under no circumstances" will accept interventions, intrusions, or any other act from abroad.

That is harmful to the integrity, independence, and sovereignty of the Nation, such as coups, interference in elections, or the violation of Mexican territory, whether by land, water, sea, or airspace.

Do they really defend sovereignty?

This is just a charade that shows how the Morena government is colluding with drug cartels.

Since in light of the willingness of the U.S. and Canada governments to combat Mexican cartels, President Sheinbaum continues to use the pretext of sovereignty to avoid fighting them.

This despite the fact that the U.S. government has stated that they do not seek to intervene militarily in the country, they only seek coordination.

To join efforts between both countries to jointly combat the drug cartels that have caused Mexico to be bathed in blood.

We will see what happens in the coming months and how the government of Donald Trump will react to this measure.

What is more than clear is that the Fourth Transformation government only cares about the well-being of its partners, or else why so much reluctance to confront them.

Because if they really cared about the country's sovereignty, they wouldn't have handed it over to the drug cartels, who now enjoy tremendous impunity in the country.
