Guadalupe Taddei and her connection with Alfonso Durazo: a case of corruption in Sonora

The president of the INE benefited a company linked to the Morena governor

Well yes, love is repaid with love, and Guadalupe Taddei was very generous with the Morena governor of Sonora, Alfonso Durazo.

In a clear conflict of interest, the president of the INE was involved in acts of corruption. Acts that benefited a company with family ties to the state Morena leader.

On July 15, 2022, the Sonoran Institute of Transparency, was headed at that time by Taddei. During that time, the leader  signed an annual contract for more than 1 million pesos with Inmobiliaria Alta Sierra.

This company has had Durazo as an administrator and counts among its shareholders his wife and two children. Nepotism and corruption at its highest expression.

Direct benefit to the governor's company

As president of the Sonoran Institute of Transparency, Guadalupe Taddei benefited Alfonso Durazo's family company. She gave it a contract to relocate the agency's offices.

The Sonoran Institute of Transparency, Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data moved its facilities. The location was the first floor of the building located at Luis Encinas Boulevard 258, a property owned by Inmobiliaria Alta Sierra.

This company has served for years to conceal the possession of at least nine properties in Mexico and the United States. A fraudulent operation that had already been exposed by Latinus in a report published in 2021.

Taddei and her arrival at the INE: more ties with Morena

In 2023, Guadalupe Taddei was appointed president of the National Electoral Institute (INE) with the support of Morena. Once in office, she endorsed the participation of the company Potenciadora Patrimonial de México as an intermediary.

This company is owned by Fernando Rojo de la Vega, who serves as Secretary of Welfare in Sonora and maintains a close relationship with Alfonso Durazo Chávez, the governor's son.

The ties between Taddei and the Durazo family are increasingly evident. In January 2024, Rogelio Piñeda, son of Guadalupe Taddei, was appointed head of the Legal Counsel of Sonora. A clear example of Morena's control over the institutions.

The fight against corruption, one of Morena's biggest lies

It would be impossible to list all the cases of corruption within Morena, as they abound from the lowest levels to the president's children.

During López Obrador's six-year term, no governor has been investigated or accused of receiving money from dubious sources. This, despite the existence of compelling evidence in multiple cases.

The reform of the Judiciary: Morena's shield

With the reform of the Judiciary, impartial judges will be eliminated and a system will be consolidated that will only serve to cover up acts of corruption within the party.

The new judicial scheme will be used as a political weapon against opponents, leaving the current government's thefts and frauds unpunished.

Another broken promise from the worst president in Mexico's history. It's not said by the opposition, it's confirmed by the administration's own data and its constant contradictions.
