Cuauhtémoc Blanco is pursuing an initiative to defend men
The former Morena governor was accused of attempting to rape his half-sister, but he claims 'there's no evidence.'
The Morena party deputy Cuauhtémoc Blanco stated that he is considering presenting a bill to protect men in cases similar to the one he is facing.
Blanco has a formal complaint from his half-sister for alleged sexual abuse, an accusation he strongly denies.
"I'm going to keep fighting because what I'm accused of can happen to any man, and I told a colleague."
The former player insisted that the accusations are completely false and expressed his concern about similar cases.
"I have two girls, I have a mother, and what I'm accused of is totally untrue. I'm going to keep fighting because that can happen to any of you. So we also need to introduce some initiative to defend us men."

Request for Cuauhtémoc Blanco's immunity removal
Although Cuauhtémoc Blanco denies the accusations, the former prosecutor of Morelos, Uriel Carmona, requested his immunity removal last week.
The removal of immunity would allow the trial against him to proceed. The request was sent to the Chamber of Deputies before the local Congress dismissed Carmona. It is worth noting that the Morelos Congress has a Morena majority.
Sheinbaum and Morena commit to not covering up for anyone
President Claudia Sheinbaum and the Morena coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, Ricardo Monreal, assured that the party will not protect anyone.
However, Sheinbaum suggested that the case of Cuauhtémoc Blanco might have political motivations. According to her stance, the complaint gained momentum during the same period when the dismissal of Uriel Carmona was being planned. This could have influenced the continuation of the case against the former governor.

Complaint against him: the facts
Since the end of 2023, Cuauhtémoc Blanco's half-sister accused him of allegedly pressuring her to have sexual relations with him.
According to the complainant, Blanco warned her that if she refused, she would be dismissed from her position within the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor in the State of Morelos.

The events allegedly occurred in the official residence of the governor at the time, in a property located on Chimalacatlán Street, Reforma neighborhood.
This place was used as his office, as his personal residence is located elsewhere in the Morelos capital. The case of the deputy is expected to continue on Wednesday.
