Daniel Noboa beats the communist Luisa González in the electoral polls
The current president of Ecuador shows a solid lead against the communist puppet candidate of Rafael Correa
In recent hours, a series of polls have shown a sober yet solid lead by Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa over his opponent in the upcoming presidential elections, the communist Luisa González.
Reduced to the possibility of only two candidates with chances of emerging in the upcoming elections, the presidential elections to be held in 2025 will determine whether Ecuador manages to continue on a prosperous path of economic and social recovery, or if it returns to the dark times of Correa's era, during which corruption and drug trafficking prevailed.
According to the latest polls conducted, the voting intention for the current Ecuadorian president is 36%, while the Correa supporter González has a 32% intention, 4 points below the main contender expected to emerge victorious in the electoral process.
The focus will now be on gaining approval from those who are undecided, as well as those who declared their intention to vote blank, as they represent 13% and 8% respectively of the total electoral roll.

After the convicted and exiled in Belgium, Rafael Correa, left an economic and social disaster in Ecuador, the elections represent an opportunity to continue the great work of reconstruction that Daniel Noboa is carrying out. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the communist González, who has strong ties with drug trafficking, seeks to impose a government once again in which decisions are made by the criminal Correa.
González's background in government is not encouraging regarding what is expected she might accomplish at the helm of a country, as a long list of controversies closely follows her.
While serving as head of the country's Ministry of Justice, González issued a terrible decree that made it difficult for retirees to collect their corresponding benefits, citing "budget shortages."
Another incident that heavily tainted the communist González's record was an episode in which she made a series of trips to different countries using the presidential plane without submitting the official request to the president. This series of trips without declared reasons to the Ecuadorian state cost the country around 890,000 dollars, for which the Comptroller General of the State found her responsible.

It will be essential for both candidates to garner those votes that currently seem to have no destination in order to emerge victorious in the elections, each with their respective purposes.
It is worth noting that the possibility of González rising to power represents a great danger for the Ecuadorian people due to the imminent return of Correa's era to decision-making in the country, signifying a significant deterioration of the economic situation and a severe worsening of the social situation concerning drug trafficking.
