Zeldin Found a Huge Sum of Money Intended for Democratic Campaigns in the Epa
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency found around two billion dollars granted by Biden
Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States discovered that the Biden administration granted USD 2 billion to a climate group linked to Stacey Abrams, former Democratic candidate for the governorship of the state of Georgia and a fierce advocate of former President Joe Biden.
The money was allocated to Power Forward Communities, a nonprofit organization that works with various progressive groups and was founded by Abrams, who expressed her enthusiasm for being part of it. The information was reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
This money was reserved in an external financial institution, the bank Citibank, before Biden left the presidency. It is part of a larger fund, of USD 20 billion, that the EPA received through the Inflation Reduction Act to distribute among climate groups.

However, the choice of Power Forward Communities to receive such a considerable amount of money has raised concerns, especially because, according to its tax statements, the organization reported only USD 100 in revenue during 2023.
The EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, expressed his concern, highlighting that the allocation of 2 billion dollars to an organization with such few resources is extremely alarming, as it represents 20 million times the organization's reported revenue that year.
Zeldin also revealed that it was discovered that the predecessors of the Biden administration had set aside the total of the USD 20 billion in an attempt to prevent the Trump administration from recovering that money. Additionally, there was an attempt to conceal the entities to which Power Forward Communities and other groups would distribute those funds.

Zeldin emphasized that there is great concern about the lack of federal oversight in the allocation of these funds and the possibility that they are being given to left-wing activist groups closely linked to the Biden administration.
In his comments to the press, Zeldin made it clear that his goal is to be a good steward of public funds and that he hasn't wasted time investigating the destination of these resources.
In this regard, he expressed his concern that some organizations might have been created solely to take advantage of this money, without proper justification.
Abrams, who has been a staunch advocate of the Biden administration's green agenda, had published an article in July 2024 reaffirming her support for Biden.

In that same month, as voices calling for Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race multiplied, Abrams publicly defended the president and his approach to the future of the Democratic Party, asserting that the path to victory was to stand by Biden.
A month after her statements, Power Forward Communities received the allocation of the 2 billion dollar grant.
The organization stated that the money would be used for "affordable decarbonization" of homes and apartments across the country, especially in low-income and disadvantaged communities. The funds are expected to start flowing to households beginning in early 2025.

Zeldin, who has committed to investigating how to recover the funds from Citibank, described Power Forward Communities as an "intermediary entity" in a USD 20 billion scheme designed by Biden's EPA.
Through a post on X, Zeldin accused the group of being part of a "golden plan" that was being carried out without proper oversight.
Meanwhile, Power Forward Communities did not respond to requests for comments on this issue. The controversy has sparked a debate about the handling of public funds and the clear connection between activist groups and the Democratic administration, leading several analysts to question the transparency and effectiveness of the resource distribution.
