Trump Launches an Investigation Against the Former Democratic Fbi Director

The FBI leadership has launched an investigation into the origins of a plan developed a decade ago to infiltrate Donald Trump's presidential campaign using two female undercover agents, known as "honeypots".

This operation, unofficially carried out in 2015 under the command of then Democratic director James B. Comey, was revealed last year by a whistleblower within the agency, who made a protected disclosure to the House Judiciary Committee.

The term "honeypot" in the intelligence services field refers to an undercover operation where, generally, a woman pretends romantic or sexual interest to obtain information from a target.

According to the whistleblower's report, two undercover FBI employees infiltrated Trump's campaign in 2016, acting as ''interested parties''. These agents traveled with Trump and his campaign team, and their mission was to obtain compromising information about the Republican candidate.

The investigation did not target a specific crime, but was more of a fishing operation to find something incriminating against Trump.

The whistleblower, who had direct knowledge of the operation, stated that Comey personally ordered this investigation without establishing an official file in the FBI's systems, such as the Sentinel system.

This suggests that the operation was deliberately kept secret, even from the Department of Justice auditors, like Michael Horowitz, who was investigating the FBI's conduct in the Trump campaign case.

The operation was conducted without a predetermined basis or clear legal justification, leading to speculation about possible institutional biases within the FBI against Trump.

The whistleblower indicated that, due to the lack of adequate legal justification, Comey kept the operation hidden and without an official file number. This lack of transparency reinforces suspicions that it was a political persecution and not a legitimate investigation based on evidence of a crime.

The operation was eventually shut down when a major newspaper obtained a photograph of one of the undercover agents and was about to publish it. To prevent its disclosure, the FBI's press office told the outlet that the image belonged to an agency informant who was in danger of death if published.

In an attempt to protect the operatives, one of the agents was transferred to the CIA, while the other received a promotion within the FBI, becoming a high-level executive in one of the agency's main field offices.

The whistleblower also reported that several FBI employees were ordered never to speak about the operation again, which some interpreted as a direct threat to silence those involved in the Trump campaign infiltration.

The FBI's internal investigation, now led by Kash Pateland Deputy Director Dan Bongino, seeks to clarify the details of this undercover operation. Meanwhile, the agency has refused to comment on the details of the investigation or the agents involved.

This situation has sparked a debate about the impartiality and practices within the FBI during Democratic administrations, as well as the possible misuse of the agency's resources for political purposes.
