Tactical espionage returns: Konami confirmed the release date for the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake

Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the highly anticipated remake of one of the saga's most iconic titles, will be released on August 28.

After several rumors and previous leaks, the company took advantage of its latest State of Play to announce the date and show a new trailer with advancements in graphics and gameplay.

Visual and gameplay improvements in the remake

The remake retains the original story, which takes place during the Cold War, but with improvements in graphics and sound. More modern controls are included, adapted to current standards, although those who prefer the classic experience can opt for a control scheme similar to the original game.

Additionally, the damage system has been revamped to more realistically reflect Snake's injuries and clothing wear throughout the game.

Exclusive content for PlayStation 5

PlayStation 5 players will enjoy exclusive content, such as the return of the popular Snake vs. Monkey mode, inspired by the classic title Ape Escape. Not all details about the differences in the Xbox version have been revealed yet, but other additional surprises are expected for platform users.

Editions and pre-order bonuses

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available in two editions: standard and deluxe. Players who pre-order the digital version will receive special bonuses, such as alternate outfits and early access to the game. The title will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
