The spicy exchange between Flor Peña and Puma Goity over Poné a Francella

The actor retorted to his former castmate that there were never any comments against women on the show.

Florencia Peña and Gabriel "Puma" Goity starred in a new television clash on La noche de Mirtha (El Trece), where they once again debated the rerun of the comedy show Poné a Francella (Telefe). The discussion, which had already had a first episode weeks ago, was reignited when the host asked them about their differences regarding the show's return to the screen.

"Oh, the discussion we had, the enemies", Peña joked when asked about the topic. The actress reaffirmed her stance on the relevance of certain comedic content and emphasized the importance of analyzing humor from a current perspective. "It happened 25 years ago, and there are things that transcend humor and others that don't, especially due to issues related to feminism", she argued.

Meanwhile, Goity defended the rerun of the show and downplayed the criticisms. "Once we get an Argentine comedy show on open television, on Telefe, please let's collaborate. I thought it was too fine an analysis for a sketch", the actor opined.

Far from giving in, Peña maintained her point of view with a personal reflection. "With Sambucetti, the girl's father, something happened to me that has more to do with a female issue. I understand Puma's stance and that there should be a debate about what we can laugh at," she expressed. In that line, she used a phrase from her son Juan Otero to explain her view on current humor: "My traumas, my jokes."

What Florencia Peña had said about the rerun of Poné a Francella

The debate began weeks ago when Peña questioned the decision to re-air the show. "For me, it's outdated, it's not right to air it again," she stated in an interview with Sería Increíble (Olga). When asked if she had been informed about the rerun, she explained that she found out the same way as the public.

Although she highlighted her appreciation for Poné a Francella and Guillermo Francella, she emphasized that humor must evolve with the times. "If we see Olmedo today, we can understand it as part of another era, but if you air it now, you don't laugh. El Manosanta doing certain things doesn't work anymore", she argued.

Puma Goity, meanwhile, made a comparison with his own role in the show. "I played a character of a homosexual who harassed Guillermo. But nobody talks about that. So, if I act silly, I could also question it", he pointed out, showing his disagreement with Peña's stance.
