Mariela Fernández Left Crónica Tv's Broadcast Furious: the Channel's Explanation
Facundo Pedrini, news director, revealed the reasons that led the host to leave the live studio
During the broadcast of "La Primera," Crónica TV's morning show, Mariela Fernández was involved in a tense episode that ended with her abrupt departure from the air. The situation occurred while covering the sports event between Boca and Alianza Lima at the Bombonera.
It all started with a technical problem in the "earpiece," the internal communication device between hosts and production. The audio levels were overloaded, causing discomfort for Fernández. During the live broadcast, her voice was aired in an annoyed and raised tone, expressing her frustration over the technical failure.
Meanwhile, sports journalist Fabio Vallejos was providing details about the soccer match, the background murmur grew increasingly louder. Moments later, the host, visibly upset, uttered an angry exclamation, leaving viewers surprised.

The channel's version of the incident
After the scandal, Facundo Pedrini explained to Karina Iavícoli for Intrusos (América TV) what happened and downplayed the conflict. According to him, the relationship between Mariela and the show's producer has been a friendship for two decades, so there was no personal issue between them.
"It was a technical malfunction that affected the audio. The levels were overloaded, and that caused the discomfort on air," Pedrini stated. He also assured that, at the end of the broadcast, the host and the producer hugged, showing that there was no serious situation behind the scenes.
Despite the episode, the news director was confident that everything would return to normal the next day. "These are things that happen on television," he concluded.
The incident caused a great stir on social media, where viewers commented on the tense live moment. However, according to the channel's explanation, it was all an unfortunate technical mishap that wouldn't affect the continuity of the show.
