An Islamic terrorist ran over dozens of people in Germany

At least thirty people were injured, some seriously, when an Afghan refugee crashed into a crowd

At least 30 people were injured on Thursday when a vehicle rammed into a group of people in downtown Munich, Germany. The police reported that the driver was detained at the scene and posed no further danger.

According to the authorities, at least two people were in serious condition, and a child needed to be resuscitated. The police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack, and it has been confirmed that the suspect is a 24-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan, named Farhad Noori.

While initially no clear motive had been determined by the police, the situation quickly changed when the striker's social media profile was investigated, revealing posts associated with Islamic terrorism on multiple occasions.

The incident occurred in the area of Dachauer Straße and Seidlstraße, near the city's central train station, specifically at Stiglmaierplatz, where a demonstration organized by the Verdi union was taking place.

The event, which began at 10:30 a.m. local time, was being joined by the police, which allowed officers to react quickly. The suspect vehicle broke into the demonstration from behind, running over those present.

Due to the severity of the situation, a "large operation" was deployed and authorities asked residents to avoid the area to facilitate the work of emergency teams.

Images from the scene showed police and rescuers working around a damaged vehicle, surrounded by objects and debris. Officers cordoned off the area while helicopters flew overhead.

Although the police have not provided details about the identity of the driver or the vehicle involved, the incident has caused great shock in the city and the country.

The president of the state of Bavaria, Markus Söder, stated that the incident is being treated as a terrorist attack. The Munich police chief, Christian Huber, confirmed that the suspect is a 24-year-old man of Afghan origin, who had applied for asylum in Germany.

The authorities have indicated that the attack perpetrated by Noori is an Islamic terrorist attack. The city's mayor, Dieter Reiter, expressed being "deeply shocked" by the events and extended his thoughts to the injured.

The incident occurred shortly before international leaders arrived in Munich for the Munich Security Conference, which was to be held on Friday. Among the attendees were Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. Vice President JD Vance, among other high-level diplomats.

The conference was to take place just 1.5 kilometers from the attack site, which increased tension in the city.

The Verdi union, organizer of the demonstration, indicated that the injured were childcare service employees, who were protesting stalled negotiations over public sector wages.

Verdi did not offer further details about the attack, but confirmed the presence of its members at the event. The demonstration also included workers fighting to improve working conditions in the German public sector.

Eyewitnesses reported that they saw the police shoot at the vehicle, and one of them claimed to have seen a man lying under the car. The witness tried to open the vehicle's door, but it was blocked, so he moved away to help the injured. The police have not yet clarified whether the suspect was trying to flee the scene or if it was a deliberate act of running over.

The incident comes less than two months after another similar attack in Magdeburg, where a car ran over several people at a Christmas market, killing two and injuring about 70.

Although both incidents were caused by vehicles running over groups of people, the nature and motives of the attacks in both cases are similar and those who carry them out share many characteristics.

The run-over in Munich has caused great concern due to its strong connection with Islamic terrorist attacks, which are becoming increasingly frequent in Europe due to illegal immigration and inefficient border controls.

The victims, including children and adults, are receiving medical attention while the police work to clarify the details of the incident. The presence of authorities at the demonstration and the proximity of a high-profile event have put the city under intense security scrutiny.
