Gene Hackman: the Final Report on the Mysterious Deaths Will Take Weeks

The mystery surrounding the suspicious deaths of Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and their dog remains unsolved. The final autopsy report could take several more weeks.

Sources told the outlet TMZ that the New Mexico Medical Investigator's Office reported that after the initial autopsy, it will take an additional four to six weeks to obtain the results of the toxicology tests.

The crime scene left authorities perplexed due to puzzling details indicating a possible complex scenario. Upon entering Gene Hackman's property in New Mexico, investigators noticed that the front door was open. Apparently, Betsy Hackmanwas found in the bathroom of the house, next to a heater and pills scattered around.

Her body was notably decomposed, with facial swelling and mummified feet and hands, suggesting she had been dead for some time.

Meanwhile, Gene was found in a separate room, with no immediate details about his condition. Near Betsy, investigators discovered the corpse of their German Shepherd, lying about 3 to 5 meters away. Two other dogs of the couple were found alive and in good condition, one inside the house and another outside.

Firefighters reviewed the scene but found no evidence of carbon monoxide leakage or signs of poisoning. Investigators are still unable to explain the exact circumstances of the deaths. Nonetheless, the final report, with the test results, is expected to provide answers and help solve the mystery.
