In the seaside town of Costa Azul, a water rescue competition ended in a brutal fight between lifeguards on the shore. The sequence was recorded by witnesses and a drone flying over the area. The confrontation escalated until dozens of people got involved.

How the fight broke out

According to witnesses from the local media 0223, a member of the Santa Teresita team blocked the path of a rival from San Bernardo. This sparked an exchange of words that quickly turned into a fistfight.

While a team was reaching the shore, a lifeguard lost his balance and fell on the sand after contact with another competitor. In seconds, the argument turned into shoving and ended in a brawl.

Several people tried to separate those involved, but others joined the conflict, increasing the level of violence. The situation created tension among those present, and the fight took a while to be controlled.
