Lapegüe's Sharp Reaction After Mariela Fernández's Scandal at Crónica

Sergio Lapegüe took advantage of the program he shares on the radio with Fernández to send a message about what happened

Last Tuesday, Mariela Fernández became the center of attention after being involved in a scandal during the program  "La Primera", broadcast by  Crónica TV.  The host experienced a tense moment on air when a heated exchange with the production interrupted the usual dynamics of the program.

The situation, which quickly went viral, occurred while Fernández was with Gustavo Chapur live, when a production error triggered an explosive reaction from the host. The disagreement with the program's staff reached its peak when Mariela went off air shouting: "You can't work like this".

This incident was soon commented on social media and by other media outlets, sparking debates about the working conditions at the channel and whether the episode represented a personal crisis for the host.

Lapegüe's response

Hours after the scandal, Mariela Fernández was expected to be present in her other afternoon programs, such as "Atardecer de un día agitado"  on La 100 and "Bendita"  on Canal 9.

However, the host did not appear in either of the two shows. The absence caused even more controversy, and  it was Sergio Lapegüe, radio host and on-air colleague, who subtly referenced the situation during his program.

In one of his segments, Lapegüe posed a question to listeners about "non-adult ways to face a bad day,"  to which he humorously replied:  "buy a kilo of ice cream," making it clear that Fernández's situation had caused quite a stir.

This scandal not only captured the audience's attention but also opened the conversation about work pressure in the media, the challenges hosts face, and possible misunderstandings in program production.
